Kanesville Elementary School Community Council Minutes
October 24th, 2023

Roles:

Chair: Casey Chipp
Vice Chair: Anthony Weitzeil
Secretary: Kristie Herzog

Attendance: Casey Chipp, Anthony Weitzeil, Monica Thoma, Sarah Lyons, Hugh Mouritsen, Megan Smith, Kristie Herzog, Chance Adams
Absent: Harmony Bateman, Abby Byrum, Mike Ivey

Agenda Items:

1. Welcome and Introductions - Mr. Adams
6 parent community members in attendance, as well as Kristie Herzog(teacher) and Chance Adams(LEA).

2. Trust Land Training - Mr. Adams

3. Chair and Vice Chair Election - Mr. Adams
Casey Chipp was nominated for chair and all agreed.
Anthony Weitzeil was nominated for vice-chair and all agreed.
Kristie Herzog nominated to be secretary, all agreed.

4. Compliance checklist - Mr. Adams
Reviewed checklist. Verified emails, etc. Approved last years final
minutes. Looked at school website to see where all information is located
relating to the Community Council. Reviewed the Rules of Order. Looked at
timeline for the year. Reviewed Rules of Procedure. Approved the Rules of
Order and Procedure, all agreed.

5. 2023-2024 Plan/Budget - Mr. Adams
Plan was reviewed. Discussed what some of the money is being used for as
far as paraprofessionals during PLC times. Also, for substitutes for Student
Success Team Meetings for teachers to look at student data. Math and
Reading goals school wide. Reading data from DIBELS. RISE Assessment
will be used for data in math.

Casey motioned to adjourn the meeting and Sarah seconded.

Next meeting will be held November 14th, 2023 @3:30pm in the Kanesville Conference Room.
