October 25th, 2022

Attendance: Mandy Worton, Franny Spangler, Sarah Lyons, Casey Chipp, Abby Byrum, Anthony Weitzeil, Mr. Adams, Mrs. Cox, Mrs. Herzog, Mr. Ivey
Agenda Items:
1. Welcome and Introductions - Mr. Adams
2. Trust Land Training - Mr. Adams
3. Chair and Vice Chair Election - Mr. Adams
Mandy Worton voted in as Chair. Franny Spangler voted in as Vice Chair. Mike Ivey voted in as secretary.
4. Compliance checklist - Mr. Adams
Reviewed the compliance checklist and made sure Kanesville is in compliance. Mr. Adams and Mr. Ivey are working on reformatting last year's community council meeting minutes.
5. 2022-2023 Plan/Budget - Mr. Adams
The goal, plan, action steps and budget as posted on the Trustland website were discussed and reviewed for the current school year.
6. School Business - Mr. Adams
Cell Phone Policy - The council discussed the existing cell phone/device policy and approved the use of a new student and parent agreement signature page that will be sent home to students and parents on an as-needed basis.
7. Future schedule - Mr. Adams

- Welcome/Council Role - First of year Trustland Video/Paula Plant’s video to Weber/Review council membership and terms of service
- Review of current plan and goals/Financial Update
Nov. 15, 2022
- Review of last year’s school-wide data
Jan. 17, 2023
- Review current school plan progress/Begin plan for next year
Feb. 7, 2023
- Continue work on plan for next year
Mar. 7, 2023
- Continue new plan update and finalization/turn it in
8. Miscellaneous - Council Members
- Discussed the making of goals and how meeting/not meeting the goals set can affect future plans. Mr. Adams discussed the varying factors that have been affecting meeting/not meeting goals, including behavior and pandemic related factors.
- There is a boundary study that will be starting in November that will affect Kanesville Elementary because of the new school being built.
