Kanesville Elementary School Community Council Minutes
October 26th, 2021
Attendance: Mandie, Georgene, Tara, Karly, Curtis, Shae, Frannie, Mrs. Herzog, Mrs. Sullivan, and Mr. Adams
1. Welcome and Introductions - Mr. Adams
All members introduced themselves. New members to the council are Georgene, Mandie, and Shae. Re-elected members are Frannie and Tara.
Existing members are Karly and Curtis.
2. Trust Land Training - Mr. Adams
Approx. 35 minutes of video training.
3. Chair and Vice Chair Election - Mr. Adams
Mandie Worton nominated and elected as Chair - Uncontested
Georgene Brinkerhoff nominated and elected as Vice Chair - Uncontested
TaLonnie Sullivan nominated and elected as Secretary - Uncontested
4. Compliance checklist - Mr. Adams
Compliance checklist reviewed. Due to the transition of principals, last year minutes are not posted and aren’t available.
5. Report on last year's funds - Mr. Adams
Funds for the 2020-2021 school year reviewed as posted on https://schoollandtrust.schools.utah.gov/publicschooldashboard? endingSchoolYear=2021&schoolDistrict=1050&schoolId=1062&schoolNumber=114
Questions about data and how the school did were asked. Next meeting will discuss data.
6. 2021-2022 Budget - Mr. Adams

7. School Business - Mr. Adams
a. Cell Phone Policy
Reviewed over the policy. Council agreed. The council liked the idea of sending out an email a month about policies.
Council also added reminding about the bus being part of the cell phone policy.
b. End of day pick up changes
Council agreed that for students to get picked up differently than the normal procedure, student word would not be sufficient.
c. Bond Information added by Mr. Adams, Seconded by Georgene
Dates for ballots and voting were discussed. Information about the bond and where to find it was also shared.
8. Future schedule - Mr. Adams
Mr. Adams shared the scheduled plan for the year for each month. Council also planned out the remaining meetings for the year.
9. Miscellaneous - Council Members
Panorama was discussed with an opt out option and dates of survey window.
Mr. Adams called the meeting to close. Mandie seconded the motion.
Next meeting will be Tuesday, November 16th, 2021
